IKR. Maybe it’s ‘cause I already spend so much time working on a love story, but I’m ALL ABOUT non-romantic friendship/trust character dynamics lately. I can understand the appeal of slash, but I’m just so happy with canon already :D

I can’t sleep, which of course means I am thinking of all the ways in which I have been a dick in the last 48 hours. A work rant that was probably too damn intense and angry has reminded me that, once again, I need some more things in my life to care about.

What was that thing that was essentially Parts: The Clonus Horror that also turned out to be terrible?  I think Ewan McGregor got roped into it somehow?  (Looking it up.)

The philosophies in Star Trek are kinda part of the actual setting. If you don’t get that, why are you allowed to make Star Trek movies.

Sigh. The whole point of Star Trek is that it’s philosophical. If you don’t want philosophical Science Fiction, there’s plenty of that for you to enjoy, but Star Trek is philosophical. Philosophy is part of Star Trek’s DNA, and if you’re given the captain’s chair, you’d better damn well respect that.
